A representative of the shipping business became Honorary Consul of Spain in Klaipeda

Vytautas Lygnugaris, Head of Limarko Shipping and Logistics Group, Chairman of the Board of the Lithuanian Shipowners’ Association, was appointed Honorary Consul of Spain in Klaipeda in June. Vytautas Lygnugaris was introduced to the guests by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain José Maria Robles Fraga.

The opening of such a consulate in the Port of Lithuania demonstrates Spain’s desire to provide more accessible assistance to Spanish nationals living in or near Klaipėda. This year marks the centenary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and Lithuania.
