Minister of Economy and Innovation visits at Klaipeda

On Tuesday, the Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė visited Klaipėda, where she presented business promotion measures and financing opportunities to the city’s entrepreneurs.
We were pleased that the Minister found the opportunity to visit the Lithuanian Maritime Academy. During the meeting, the importance of the targeted scholarship programme initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation was highlighted. Students from the approved list of higher education institutions and study programmes are granted monthly scholarships of EUR 200.
The incentive scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in state-funded engineering, information technology, mathematics, electromechanics, robotics and other programmes. Like every programme, it is not without its drawbacks. Paradoxically, students studying maritime navigation are assigned to the social track. No doubt, there are many issues to be discussed and upgraded in the maritime sector.
