The Sea Festival-2026 has begun
“We rarely stop to think about the important role that seafarers play in our daily lives. They spend long hours at sea, transporting people and cargo or working at the liquefied natural gas terminal, thereby making a significant contribution to Lithuania’s energy independence and security. This demanding work often takes time away from their loved ones, as their families remain behind and wait on land. “I sincerely thank all seafarers for their professionalism, dedication, and contribution to strengthening Lithuania as a maritime nation. I wish for you to continue to be professionals in your field, return home safely, and make all of Lithuania proud through your work.” With these words from Minister of Transport and Communications J. Taminskas, the ceremony honoring seafarers and the opening of the Sea Festival began.
