A new tugboat starts work in the Port of Klaipeda

Last week, the new Towmar Baltic tug Tak-9 was christened at the Port of Klaipeda. The new vessel was built at Damen Shipyard and is 22.8 m long, 12 m wide, and 4.4 m deep, with a towing capacity of 71 tonnes.  Tomas Zabulionis, the company’s CEO, pointed out that the new vessel is the most powerful tugboat among the vessels currently operating in the Port of Klaipėda. There is no doubt that the new purchase will contribute to the safe and smooth navigation of the ships arriving at Klaipėda Seaport. The company’s fleet currently consists of 3 tugboats working in Klaipeda port, 1 tugboat in Būtinge, and 2 tugboats in Liepaja seaport.
