Lithuanian Parliament Economic Committee members visit Klaipeda

On the 11th of June, 2021 members of the Lithuanian Parliament Economic Committee had paid a visit to Klaipeda. “We get acquainted with Klaipeda port. We are pleased with the development of the port and the increase in cargo flows. We also heard the problems of various port sectors – find the right form and formula of land rent taxation and to remain competitive. It is necessary to provide opportunities to compensate for cargo losses if that would arise in respect of sanctions to Belorrusia,” said Kazys Starkevičius, Chairman of the Seimas Economic Committee.

Vytautas Lygnugaris, Chairman of the Board of the Lithuanian Shipowners’ Association, presented the topical issues of Lithuanian shipping to the Parliament Committee.
